Mario Bardi

Mario Bardi (born 1922 in Palermo, Sicily) was an Italian artist. == Biography ==

In 1947, Mario Bardi abandoned his studies in engineering and enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts of Palermo, where he graduated in painting in 1951, with a scholarship for young artists offered as a prize by the Region of Sicily.
In Milan, he became friends with Salvatore Quasimodo, Vittorio Fagone, Raffaele De Grada, Mario De Micheli, and Renata Usiglio.
Several art critics including Leonardo Sciascia, Luigi Bonifacio, Leonardo Borgese, Rossana Bossaglia, and Dino Buzzati, Elena Pontiggia.
Mario Bardi, is the father of the musician Lucio Bardi, and of the singer and actress Donatella Bardi.
Bardi died in Milan in 1998. Many posthumous exhibitions were organised after his death.
